LH2-05-Devarim HaNohagim BaSeudah/ הלכות דברים הנוהגים בסעודה

2020-11-20 – LH2 – OC2 – Devarim HaNohagim BaSeudah 4 – Para. 1b-2 – Keys to Meriting Kedushas Eretz Yisrael (Holiness of Eretz Yisrael); Rosh Hashanah; Prayer Before Teaching Torah b’Rabim

Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon. This halakha is based on Likutey Moharan 20.
*07:31 – PARAGRAPH 2. On Rosh Hashanah, one of the main things we pray for is to merit the holiness of Eretz Yisrael.
19:59 – QUESTION about tefilah b’din.
*27:00 – If Hashem does not seem to answer our tefilos, our respect and love for Him should remain constant.
36:30 – Parshas Toldos.
30:00 – It’s impossible to reach Eretz Yisrael except through defeating opposing spiritual powers through the Torah. In prayer before giving a Torah lecture, the teacher attaches himself to the souls of all stud ents present, both in this world and the next. Statement of intent of fulfilling “Love your neighbor as yourself” before tefilah.
35:30 – The power of prayer before teaching Torah b’Rabim. Each student in a community has a portion in the Torah being brought down by the teacher. These prayers defeat the negative forces blocking kedushas Eretz Yisrael.
39:50 – All nefeshos (souls) are not alike. Some souls are worth many others. Story about when Rebbe Nachman was preparing to give Likutey Moharan 60 on Rosh Hashanah which included a section on Choni HaMa’agal. Some of Rebbe Nachman’s students burst into tears because they had experienced the power of being “included” in the tzaddik’s Torah.
*43:17 – QUESTION about the power of Torah innovation. Importance of praying for Hashem’s help before teaching Torah, for example on Erev Shabbos, if one will be giving over Torah at the Shabbos meals.
51::50 – Mention of Rebbe Nachman’s vision that preceded his presentation of Likutey Moharan 20.
