Oreyv 3 – Parshas Toldos – Yaakov Avinu Was Justified in Taking the Birthright – Avodas Kohanim – Purifying Olam HaAsiyah – 4 Worlds in Shacharis – Korbonos – Beis HaMikdash – 39 Melakhos – Ratzon – Tears of Esav – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Oreyv 3 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 4.
00:00 – Today, the 11th of Nissan, is the yahrzeit of Ronnie Cohen a”h.
06:00 – PARAGRAPH 24. HaShem’s ratzon is revealed on each of the Shalosh Ragolim – Pesach, Shavuos, and Sukkos.
09:00 – Tefilah. Traveling the 4 Worlds during Shacharis. Reciting the Korbonos purifies the Olam HaAsiyah, which is the essence of Tikkun HaRatzon since it purifies the highest spiritual place from the basis of the lowest spiritual level.
12:30 – NOTE – this unification of the highest and lowest spiritual levels are an aspect of Moshe Rabbeinu – 345 vs. – shmad – 344 via Tikkun HaRatzon.
15:00 – PARAGRAPH 25. Toldos. Yaakov Avinu vs. Esav. Supporting a Talmid Chokham is credited in the same way as bringing all the korbonos in the Beis HaMikdash (Sefer HaMidos, Achila 7).
17:00 – NOTE – Rabbi Zvi Aryeh Rosenfeld zal and Rabbi Yechiel Michel Dorfman zal allocated tzedakah to many different funds, but both gave priority to supporting Talmidei Chokhamim in Eretz Yisrael.
19:00 – Yaakov vs. Esav. Esav’s exhaustion came from chasing after material wealth. Esav acquired the garments of Adam HaRishon by killing Nimrod. Sin comes from the negative aspect of the 39 Melakahos.
22:30 – הַלְעִיטֵ֤נִי נָא֙ מִן־הָֽאָדֹ֤ם הָֽאָדֹם֙ הַזֶּ֔ה – “Pour some of this red, red [soup] into me…” Bereishis 25:30, (Toldos).
25:30 – Toldos. Yaakov Avinu was justified in taking the birthright. Esav had no interest in the spiritual blessing of the bachor, as in וְלָֽמָּה־זֶּ֥ה לִ֖י בְּכֹרָֽה – “Why do I need this birthright?” (Bereishis 25:32, Toldos).
29:00 – Q&R about elevating ratzon to dibur through tefilah. Reference to Likutey Moharan 31.
32:00 – Q&R about the halakhos of arrive late for a minyan. It’s important to daven with a minyan and beginning tefilah together with the minyan on time. However, if a person arrives late, we follow the halakhah: one may skip whatever’s necessary from the morning blessings to the first and last Hallelukahs, Ashrei, Yishtabach. From Yishtabach on no further skipping is done.
36:30 – PARAGRAPH 26. Toldos. At first Yitzchak Avinu regretted giving the blessing to Yaakov Avinu. But when he heard that Esav had rejected the birthright, Yitzchak rejoiced.
41:00 – PARAGRAPH 27. Toldos. וַיִּשָּׂ֥א עֵשָׂ֛ו קֹל֖וֹ וַיֵּֽבְךְּ – “…And Esau raised his voice and wept” (Bereishis 27:38, Toldos). The tears/crying of Esav are an aspect of depression that results from excess focus on Olam HaAsiyah. Esav’s tears were activating the impurity of the Nachash. As a result of Esav’s outcry, Yaakov Avinu was forced to give way to Esav in some aspect. Until Moshiach is revealed, Am Yisrael must give some token to the Sutra Achra.
45:00 – NOTE heard from Rabbi Rosenfeld zal about Bilaam, who said, “May I die a righteous death, and my end should be like them.” As a result of his prayer, Bilaam was reincarnated as Naval, in the time of Dovid HaMelech.
46:30 – “No ratzon for good is ever lost.”
54:00 – Q&R ***Since the tefilah of Bilaam was answered, imagine how HaShem answers the tefilah of a sincere Jew.
56:00 – Closing blessings.
