LH7-12-Chezkas Karkaos

2025-05-27 – LH7 – CM1 – Chezkas Karkaos 3 – Para. 11-13

Chezkas Karkaos 3 – Tefilas SheLaH HaKodesh on Erev Rosh Chodesh SivanParshas EmorSukkosNetilas Daled Minim – Drawing Olam HaBah into the Heart – Esrog Can Stay on Tree 3 Years – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Chezkas Karkaos 3 is based on Likutey Moharan 5.
00:00 – NOTE: Why Breslov chassidim travel to Meron for Erev Rosh Chodesh – the connection between Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai zal and Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.
06:40 – NOTE: Today – Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan – is considered an opportune time to say the tefilah of the SheLaH HaKodesh (Shnei Luchos HaBris).
11:30 – PARAGRAPH 11. Sukkos – Netilas Daled Minim.
14:15 – The main place for simcha is the heart (Tehillim).
14:30 – *A person is a composite of Olam HaZeh and Olam HaBah.
17:00 – The goal is to bring daas into the heart. Reference to Likutey Moharan 154 and reference to 2Likutey Moharan 1.
18:20 – NOTE about brain and heart in Avodas HaShem. Hisbodedus helps a person accomplish this.
23:45 – ***By waving the 4 Minim we are bringing joy into the heart.
25:00 – Esrog.
27:00 – Parshas Emor. וּלְקַחְתֶּ֨ם לָכֶ֜ם בַּיּ֣וֹם הָֽרִאשׁ֗וֹן פְּרִ֨י עֵ֤ץ הָדָר֙ כַּפֹּ֣ת תְּמָרִ֔ים וַֽעֲנַ֥ף עֵֽץ־עָבֹ֖ת וְעַרְבֵי־נָ֑חַל וּשְׂמַחְתֶּ֗ם – “And you shall take for yourselves on the first day, the fruit of the hadar tree, date palm fronds, a branch of a braided tree, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice …” (Vayikra 23:40, Emor).
28:50 – PARAGRAPH 12. The esrog is the essence of the Daled Minim. In the esrog, Olam HaBah and Olam HaZeh become one.
31:00 – Olam HaZeh is compared to planting a tree. Olam HaBah is compared to eating the fruit of the tree.
34:00 – PARAGRAPH 13. The reward of Olam HaBah is compared with harvest, as in בֹּֽא־יָבֹ֥א בְרִנָּ֑ה נֹ֜שֵׂ֗א אֲלֻמֹּתָֽיו – “…he will come back with song, carrying his sheaves” (Tehillim 126:6) – roshei teivos נביא – Olam HaBah.
37:00 – Perfection of simcha is experience the joy of Olam HaBah while we are in Olam HaZeh.
38:00 – Skakh – why the covering of the sukkah can be done only with discarded leaves, not with fruit.
42:00 – *The Skakh and the Daled Minim are collected from things that grow from the grown because simcha is connected with the Land giving forth its produce.
43:00 – Esrog is unusual as it can continue on the tree from season to season for 2 or 3 years (Rashi).
46:00 – Fruit represents joy – the purified produce of the plant. The three years that the esrog can remain on the tree relate to the purification of time, space, and nefesh.
48:15 – Rosh Hashanah purifies all 3 klipos. It’s the esrog specifically that has the ability to draw joy into the heart.
50:30 – Q&R about Olam HaZeh and Olam HaBah. Analogy of a king who exiled his ministers.
