One of the names of HaShem is Alef – Hey – Yud – Hey – (“Shem Ekyeh”) – “I will be.” This relates to the power of potential and free will, and gives us the ability for teshuvah – return to HaShem. Until a person returns to HaShem he is not truly alive. Shabbos is the day of teshuvah for the entire week.

  Shem Adnus (the Name of HaShem Aleph – Daled – Noon – Yud) is an aspect of Emunah (faith in HaShem). In the phrase אהי-ה אשר אהי-ה – the word אשר has the same letters as ראש  – head – alluding to the Name of HaShem Yud – Hey – Vuv – Hey. The Gematria of חיים – life is 68.
