Ein Yaakov / עין יעקב - ר' רוזנפלד

Ein Yaakov is a collection of the Aggadah of the Talmud. It was compiled by Rabbi Yaakov ibn Habib and – after his passing – by his son Rabbi Levi ibn Habib. It is presented here by רבי צבי ארי-ה רוזנפלד ז”ל Rabbi Zvi Aryeh Ben-Zion Rosenfeld ז”ל, a revered Breslov scholar who shared his mastery of Ein Yaakov with students in a way that transformed their lives. B”H Rabbi Rosenfeld had the foresight to record these shiurim, entrusting the hidden wisdom of Ein Yaakov to future generations.

Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto explains that Aggadah are multi-layered commentaries on the Torah. Each narrative has literal meanings (חלק המצוות) and allegorical (חלק הסודות) or “secret” meanings. The “secret” components contain aspects of the Talmud so powerful that the rabbis of the Mishnaic era “encoded” their messages as “stories” to prevent their power from being misused.

Rabbi Rosenfeld presents the keys to understanding Ein Yaakov in ways that enable listeners to unlock the doors of their true potential.
