00:00 – PARAGRAPH 2b. Parshas Toldos. The trials and challenges of the Avos only brought them greater appreciation of HaShem’s kindness. חַֽסְדֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ כִּ֣י לֹֽא־תָ֔מְנוּ כִּ֥י לֹֽא־כָל֖וּ רַֽחֲמָֽיו – “The kind deeds of HaShem never cease, His mercies never fail” (Eicha 3:22).
25:00 – PARAGRAPH 3. em>Parshas Ki Seitzei. The mitzva of sending the mother bird away from her nest can only be done if the nest is happened upon by chance. It cannot be placed intentionally.כִּי יִקָּרֵא קַן־צִפּוֹר ׀ לְפָנֶיךָ בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּכָל־עֵץ׀ אוֹ עַל־הָאָרֶץ אֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ בֵיצִים וְהָאֵם רֹבֶצֶת עַל־הָאֶפְרֹחִים אוֹ עַל־הַבֵּיצִים לֹא־תִקַּח הָאֵם עַל־הַבָּנִים – “If a bird’s nest chances before you on the road, on any tree, or on the ground, and [it contains] fledglings or eggs, if the mother is sitting upon the fledglings or upon the eggs, you shall not take the mother upon the young” (Devarim 22:6, Ki Seitzei).
