Pikadon 5 – UmaninParshas Ki Sisa – All Craftsmanship Is Rooted in the Torah – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Pikadon 5 is based on Likutey Moharan 61.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 15. Eliyahu HaNavi will bring peace to Am Yisrael in preparation for the revelation of Moshiach.
07:30 – NOTE on how makhlokes l’shem shemayim leads to shalom based on חֲבָלִים נָפְלוּ־לִי בַּנְּעִמִים אַף־נַחֲלָת שָׁפְרָה עָלָי – “Portions have fallen to me in pleasant places; even the inheritance pleases me” (Tehillim 16:6).
08:30 – PARAGRAPH 16. Hilkhos Umanin. When something is given to a craftsman for repair, the craftsman is in the category of a watchman who is paid.
10:20 – וָאֶהְיֶה אֶצְלוֹ אָמוֹן – “I was a skilled craftsman at His side…” (Mishlei 8:30). All craftsmanship is rooted in the Torah, because the Torah is the craftsmanship of HaShem. He intentionally created the world incomplete, as in אֲשֶׁר־בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים לַעֲשׂוֹת – “…that HaShem created to do” (Bereishis 2:3, Bereishis).
15:30 – The speeches and writings of true rabbis in every generation complete the Torah. Their additions put “handles” on the Torah, to make it more accessible.
21:00 – NOTE on Piskei Teshuvos and the process of becoming a poseyk.
29:50 – Q&R about Rav Zushia zal and Ruach HaKodesh.
40:00 – Q&R about Torah being the source for all new inventions.
41:00 – PARAGRAPH 17. The Mishkan was built through 39 melakhos – categories of craftsmanship.
42:20 – Parshas Ki Sisa. כִּי־זֶה׀ מֹשֶׁה הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱלָנוּ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לֹא יָדַעְנוּ מֶה־הָיָה לוֹ “…because this man Moses, who brought us up from the land of Egypt we don’t know what has become of him” (Shemos 32:1, Ki Sisa). Constructing the Mishkan repaired the damaged emunas chokhomim of Klal Yisrael.
45:20 – Betzalel knew how to combine the letters through which HaShem created heaven and earth.
48:00 – Closing blessings.
