LH7-06-Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim/ הלכות גביות חוב מהיתומים

2024-12-26 – LH7 – CM1 – Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 4 – Para. 6 – Vayeira

Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 4 – Vayeira – Vidui In Front of a True Talmid ChokhamMetaltelim Return to the Earth After Their Owner Passes Away – All 4 Elements of Creation Are Included in עפר – The Element of Earth – Cremation Does Not Provide Tikkun for the Soul – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
00:00 – Hilkhos Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 4 is based on Likutey Moharan 4 – “אנכי” – “Anochi”.
***00:00 – The four elements correspond to human character traits. The key to all positive character traits is humility.
05:30 – Vidui in front of a true talmid chokham.
10:30 – NOTE in honor of Chanukah about Rachamim Gedolim.
13:40 – NOTE from Rabbi Zvi Aryeh Rosenfeld zal based on Likutey Moharan 7. עַ֣יִן לֹֽא־רָאָ֗תָה אֱלֹהִים֙ זוּלָ֣תְךָ֔ יַֽעֲשֶׂ֖ה לִמְחַכֵּה־לֽוֹ – “…no eye had ever seen a god besides You perform for him who hoped for Him…” (Yeshaya 64:3). The “Him” in this possuk refers to HaShem at the highest level – therefore the grammar of third person is used.
17:40 – Efforts in this world contribute to Olam HaBaah, similar to how Shabbos requires preparation.
18:00 – Parshas Vayeira. הַכֹּל֙ הָיָ֣ה מִן־הֶֽעָפָ֔ר וְהַכֹּ֖ל שָׁ֥ב אֶל־הֶֽעָפָֽר – “…all came from the dust, and all return to the dust” (Koheles 3:20). וְאָֽנֹכִ֖י עָפָ֥ר וָאֵֽפֶר – “…although I am dust and ashes” (Bereishis 18:27, Vayeira).
18:40 – The element of עפר – earth – has two aspects, one is humility and one is physicality. All four elements are included in the element of earth.
21:30 – The epitome of humility is to consider oneself as lowly as עפר.
22:40 – Ohr is begematria Ein Sof.
*26:00 – Every Jew has a portion of Eretz Yisrael, as in וְעַמֵּךְ֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם צַדִּיקִ֔ים לְעוֹלָ֖ם יִ֣ירְשׁוּ אָ֑רֶץ – “And your people, all of them righteous, shall inherit the Land forever…” (Yeshaya 60:21).
26:40 – When a person leaves this world and his body returns to עפר, all his metaltelim – physical property – also returns to the earth. This is why a person’s metaltelim cannot be claimed to repay his debts after he passes away.
*42:50 – NOTE – Cremation does not achieve the spiritual tikkun needed by a person who passes away.
44:00 – Q&R – When wealth inherited from one’s parents is used to do mitzvos, the souls of the parents are elevated.
45:00 – Q&R – Using earth from Eretz Yisrael for burial outside of Eretz Yisrael.
47:40 – Closing blessings for Chanukah.
