• 04:54 BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: To give a gift to a tzaddik is comparable to bringing bikkurim to the Beis HaMikdash. Therefore, Rabbi Rosenfeld zal wanted to present a gift to Rav Eliyah’ Chaim Rosen zal – a challah-cutting set – “…as good a set as we could find – an expensive one of that type … I say ‘we’ because there was another person involved…” Rav Eliyah’ Chaim accepted the cutting board by paying a token amount for the knife so it wouldn’t be a gift.
