The Arizal’s description of how the neshoma yiseyra (additional soul) arrives in stages through the tefilos of Shabbos. 1) Friday night the nukva (female) aspect of the neshoma yisera is received: Bo-i Callah Shabbos Malkhesa (nefesh), 2) HaPoreys Sukkas Shalom Aleynu (ruach ), 3) Baruch Hu after tefilah (neshoma).
Arrival of dukra (male) aspect of the neshoma yisera on Shabbos morning: 1) Nishmas Khol Chai (nefesh), 2) Go’al Yisrael – Hashem Sifsei Tiftach (ruach), and 3) Ayeh Makom Kevodo in kedusha of mussaf (congregation’s response) (neshoma).
