Chezkas Karkaos 1 – Chezkas Karkaos 2 – Parshas BeHar – Ownership of Real Estate – Connection Between Nefesh and Dibur – Power of Speech – Wealth – 3 Years of Orlah Aitza of the Tzaddik is Zera EmesEretz Yisrael Belongs to HaShem – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
00 – HALAKHA 1. Kilkhos Chezkas Karkaos 1 is based on Likutey Moharan 69.
30 – שִׁמְעוּ כִּֽי־נְגִידִ֣ים אֲדַבֵּ֑ר – “Listen, because I will speak of wealth” (Mishlei 8:6).
45 – “One who doesn’t own real estate is not a person” (Yevamos 63). NOTE about Rabbi Rosenfeld zal commenting with humor about his “permanent residence” [gravesite] on Har HaZeisim.
00 – For the first 3 years after purchasing a property, a person needs to present documented proof of ownership. This is related to the first 3 years of a tree’s life when its fruit is forbidden, and the 3 klipos – negative forces – that cannot be integrated into kedusha.
30 – Sheker is one of the 3 entirely evil forces.
40 – For the first 3 years after a person acquires property, his ownership can be challenged (Bava Basra 29).
00 – Yaakov Avinu is compared to Torah ShebeKsav – the Written Torah. Emes eliminates sheker.
00 – The Written Torah is threefold, because it is emes, which is a composite of 3.
00 – HALAKHA 2. INTRODUCTION. Hilkhos Chezkas Karkaos 2 is based on Likutey Moharan 7.
30 – Tzedek and Emunah are one when Malkus is plugged into Emes.
00 – Q&R about Emes and Emunah. The trustworthiness of person can be evaluated through his ability to control his 1) money, 2) intoxication, 3) anger.
45 – A person achieves Emes through following the advice of a tzaddik. When a person receives advice from a tzaddik, he’s receiving the seed of his future actions. וְאָֽנֹכִי֙ נְטַעְתִּ֣יךְ שׂוֹרֵ֔ק כֻּלֹּ֖ה זֶ֣רַע אֱמֶ֑ת – “Yet I planted you a noble vine stock, throughout of reliable seed…” (Yirmiyah 2:21).
00 – PARAGRAPH 2. בְּטַ֥ח בַּֽ֖יהֹוָה וַֽעֲשֵׂה־ט֑וֹב שְׁכָן־אֶ֜֗רֶץ וּרְעֵ֥ה אֱמוּנָֽה – “Trust in HaShem and do good; dwell in the Land and be nourished by faith” (Tehillim 37:3).
00 – The letters of writing in a document of ownership corresponds to the Zera Emes received from the Tzaddik. What establishes the document are the letters in the names of the witnesses who sign the document. The signatures of the two witnesses are the two legs on which Emes stands.
00 – PARAGRAPH 3. בִּקֵּ֣שׁ קֹהֶ֔לֶת לִמְצֹ֖א דִּבְרֵי־חֵ֑פֶץ וְכָת֥וּב יֹ֖שֶׁר דִּבְרֵ֥י אֱמֶֽת – “Koheles sought to find words of delight and properly recorded words of truth” (Koheles 12:10).
30 – A document that establishes ownership is called a sefer, as in שָׂד֞וֹת בַּכֶּ֣סֶף יִקְנ֗וּ וְכָת֨וֹב בַּסֵּ֥פֶר – “Men shall buy fields for money and inscribe deeds and sign [them]…” (Yirmiyah 32:44). A deed for real estate/ownership document corresponds to the Written Torah, which is Emes.
00 – Moveable objects contain sparks of souls and are an aspect of Emunah.
00 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 280. Ownership of moveable objects do not require a document of ownership.
00 – At night, the Shekhina HaKedosha descends downward to rescue holy sparks that need elevation. This dynamic also applies to land/real estate.
00 – Parshas BeHar. וְהָאָ֗רֶץ לֹ֤א תִמָּכֵר֙ לִצְמִתֻ֔ת כִּי־לִ֖י הָאָ֑רֶץ – “The Land shall not be sold permanently, for the Land belongs to Me…” (Vayikra 25:23, BeHar). Real estate in Eretz Yisrael is never sold permanently because this Land belongs to HaShem. Refinement of the holy sparks in Eretz Yisrael is accomplished through its temporary owners.
00 – NOTE – Chizuk for Shabbos: to the extent a person invests himself in the observance of Shabbos, he is transformed and spiritually elevated throughout the week.
