LH7-18-Sheluchin/ הלכות שלוחין

2025-10-15 – LH7 – CM1 – Sheluchin 5 – Para. 24-25

2025-10-15 – Sheluchin 5 – VayeitzeiChashmal – Throne of HaShemMedameh – Imagination – Merkava of the Sutra AchraKlipa NogaRuach HaKodesh of the Tzaddik EmesTikkun HaMidos Results in Beirur Hamedameh – Traveling to the Tzaddik – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Sheluchin 5 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 8.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 24. ChashmalMalbush – Vision of Yechezkel HaNavi – Darkness Surrounding the Throne of HaShem – Levels of Medameh – Confusion – Merkava of the Sutra AchraKlipa Noga.
07:10 – *The quality of a person’s Medameh – imagination – is affected by the refinement of his midos – character traits.
10:00 – The Ruach HaKodesh of the Tzaddik Emes draws from the Ruach Hakodesh at the time of Matan Torah. This Ruach HaKodesh makes Tikkun HaMedameh possible. This is what enables the Tzaddik Emes to repair all levels of Medameh in this confused world.
13:17 – The Neviim merited clarified and perfected their powers of Medameh through refining their character traits.
16:20 – Basing decisions on the daas of the Tzaddik Emes helps a person achieve a higher level of Hasagas Elokus.
18:00 – Beirur Hamedameh – the process of refining and elevating the imagination.
18:58 – NOTE about the petirah of Rebbe Nachman during Sukkos. The Torah in Likutey Moharan upon which this halakha is based was the last Torah given over by Rebbe Nachman in his lifetime and was spoken through tremendous mesiras nefesh.
22:29 – Q&R about the connection between one’s actions and the clarity of one’s actions. Example of Aristotle: “In public I’m a scholar, in private I’m an animal.” The quality of one’s behavior affects the clarity of one’s perception of אמת – truth.
26:26 – NOTE in response to the question: 2 parts of the brain correspond to the parts of HaShem’s Name Y – K – V – K. The V – K is affected by a person’s ability to perceive HaShem and to make wise choices in life.
27:00 – If Chokhma is not emanating from a person of moral integrity, heeding that person’s teachings, no matter how “lofty” will result in moral regression.
28:25 – *Q&R about how to recognize that one is making spiritual progress. Torah study and tefilah help a person’s self perception. Example of how humility – tikkun hamidos – also helps: Rebbe Nachman’s daughter was once dismayed when her father praised her. Meriting rebuke from the Tzaddik Emes is indication of one making progress.
32:17 – PARAGRAPH 25. Sekhel – clarifying the Medameh. Why business transactions often require traveling. Example of how animal thought is not at the level of human thought. “A monkey is a monkey.” If a person’s decision-making process isn’t attached to a tzaddik, he is functioning at a relatively low level.
37:15 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 40. The Tikkun HaKlali for money is tzedakah. Traveling to the Tzaddik enables a person to achieve Tikkun Hamedameh. The horses that carry him – his animal thinking – are being elevated to the level of Sekhel. The goal of business travel is the ability to give tzedakah.
39:15 – NOTE – in present times, traveling by machine is an aspect of traveling by means of an animal. Traveling through the midbar for 40 years was a tikkun for the Egel HaZahav.
41:18 – Walking helps strengthen the Sekhel. The feet correspond to the Medameh – the lowest level of the Sekhel.
42:34 – Parshas Vayeitzei. וַיִּשָּׂא יַעֲקֹב רַגְלָיו וַיֵּלֶךְ אַרְצָה בְנֵי־קֶדֶם – “So Yaakov lifted up his feet and went to the land of the people of the East” Bereishis 29:1, Vayeitzei). The heart is an aspect of Sekhel. The Sekhel uplifts the feet to service of HaShem.
43:18 – All the terms we use to honor HaShem serve to clarify the Medameh. HaShem is above any possible expression or perception.
44:57 – NOTE about customs of Isru Chag – reminder that there’s no Tachanun until Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan. Closing blessings.
