Rabbi Nasan Maimon. Birkhas HaPeyros. Teshuvah (return to Hashem and Torah observance) is related to finding lost articles and yetziyas mitzrayim (the Exodus from Egypt); meeting insult with silence; 50 Gates of Binah; Kavanas Elul; 7th Day Pesach.
00:00 – Hashem’s Name EKYEH.
08:03 – The Chida on the saying of chazal (sages of the Talmud) that “The best of doctors goes to gehinam (hell)” (Kiddushin 82a). Insulting another person removes the sins of the one who is insulted and therefore heals them. But the one who does the insulting receives harsh judgement.
11:00 – Baki b’rotzo and baki shov – Doing teshuva requires knowing how to “go forward” and how to “retreat”.
15:00 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 6 – Kavanas Elul – the word ADaM begins with the letter Aleph.
16:03 – Yetziyas Mitzrayim. Leaving Egypt was a teshuvah process, an aspect of the 50 gates of Binah. Sohd HaIbur – “secret of birth”.
22:00 – The importance of being persistent when doing Teshuvah. Yetziyas Mitzrayim was an aspect of Baki Be’Rotzo.
*33:50 – QUESTION about how to prepare for being insulted. RESPONSE: learning about this process and praying for aitza tova and help from Hashem in meeting insult with silence.
46:00 – Kriyas Yam Suf – Splitting of the Red Sea. יֽוֹנָתִ֞י בְּחַגְוֵ֣י הַסֶּ֗לַע בְּסֵ֨תֶר֙ הַמַּדְרֵגָ֔ה – “My dove was caught between the rocks…” (Shir HaShirim/Song of Songs 2:14).
52:00 – 7th Day Pesach.
