Giluach 3 – Para. 3b-6. Ohr HaPanim; Sohd HaIbur; Chanukah and the 13 Attributes of Kindness; the Four Parshios.

00:00 – PARAGRAPH 3b. The Ohr HaPanim is spiritual light emanating from the kingdom of Moshiach. It is the highest source of malkhus.
06:36 – Tefilah – malkhus – rescues Am Yisrael from exile. Malkhus is represented by the letter Dalet and corresponds to the four exiles.
07:27 – The beard receives from the highest source of malkhus – (Aitz Chaim 13:12).
09:29 – PARAGRAPH 4. The three holidays are scheduled by the spiritual elders of the generation.
11:30 – Sohd haIbur – the secret of the intercalation of the thirteenth month added in a leap year. The thirteen month (Adar Sheni) is related to the 13 Attributes of Kindness.
*16:00 – Q&R about how Ohr HaPanim – Emes relates to Chanukah. The Thirteen Formulas through which the Torah is expounded relate to the Thirteen Attributes. Seven times Yaakov is Y – K – V – K. The first seven days of Chanukah correspond to the first seven of the 13 Attributes of Kindness. The eighth day of Chanukah relates to the final six attributes of the Thirteen.
18:30 – שמן – Shemen is begematria shemayim – the Light from Above. The lowest level permissible to light Chanukah candles is 3 tefachim. 3 times tefach is ארץ – eretz.
19:50 – Q&R about the connection between Binah and Chanukah Binah is the eighth level up from malkhus.

35:40 – The custom of a Torah sage being interpreted through a meturgamon – translator.

40:30 – Parshas HaChodeshRosh Chodesh is a manifestation of malkhus.

44:00 – וְחָכְמַ֤ת הַמִּסְכֵּן֙ בְּזוּיָ֔ה – “…but the wisdom heard from a poor man is disregarded…” (Koheles 9:16). Parshas Shekalim corresponds to Yitzchak. He is the Ben Chakhom and is associated with Ohr HaPanim and tzedakah.

47:15 – Parshas HaChodesh corresponds to Yaakov Avinu. He is the Ben Taam and is also associated with the Ohr HaPanim.
48:49 – Chanukah schedule: Chayeh Moharan shiur today begins at 4 pm Israel time (9 am EST) and will be only half an hour long. Throughout Chanukah, the daily Likutey Halakhos shiur will begin at 8:15 am to accommodate the longer morning tefilos.
