LH7-14-Shutafim beKarka

2025-07-16 – LH7 – CM1 – Shutafim beKarka 5 – Para. 15b-18 – Matzranus

Shutafim beKarka 5 – Matzranus – Property Rights – Ki Sisa – Silence – Maaseh MerkavaKabbalah Is Taught Selectively – Eruv Rav – Half-Shekel – Mochin deKatnus – Mochin deGadlus – Harchavas HaDaas – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Shutafim beKarka 5 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 7.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 15b. Silence protects wisdom. Maaseh Merkavah – Kabbalah Is Taught Selectively – Secrets of the Throne.
07:00 – ***The importance of mastering silence. Although Torah is to be shared through speech, a person’s deepest, most essential perception of HaShem’s light cannot be communicated; therefore one needs to ask HaShem for guidance, every day, about when and with whom to speak and when and with whom to be silent.
11:00 – לֶךְ־רֵ֔ד וְעָלִ֥יתָ אַתָּ֖ה וְאַֽהֲרֹ֣ן עִמָּ֑ךְ וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִ֣ים וְהָעָ֗ם אַל־יֶֽהֶרְס֛וּ לַֽעֲלֹ֥ת – “…Go, descend, and [then] you shall ascend, and Aaron with you, but the priests and the populace shall not break [their formation] to ascend …” (Shemos 19:24, Yisro).
12:00 – PARAGRAPH 16. Daas is conveyed through speech about what will transmit fear of and respect for HaShem. Am Yisrael’s task is to expand the mind from Mochin deKatnus – constricted consciousness to Mochin deGadlus – expanded consciousness of HaShem. Reference to 2Likutey Moharan 22.
30:00 – The Eruv Rav damages Mochin deGadlus.
32:00 – Greek Philosophy originated in Mitzrayim. The mitzvah of giving the Half-Shekel Tribute to the Mishkan is the antidote to the negative influence of the Eruv Rav.
33:00 – Parshas Ki Sisa. Shekalim – the Half-Shekel Tribute.
34:00 – NOTE: Shekhina is begematria 601. Klal Yisrael is 600 Alef (thousand). Shekhina is equivalent to Knesses Yisrael. However, through machtzis hashekel, with each Jew giving half a shekel, is an aspect of Rotzo ve Shov – the process of elevation to HaShem. On one hand a person strives to approach the highest level of perception of HaShem, but on the other hand, recognize his personal limitations.
38:00 – PARAGRAPH 18. Matzranus. Property Rights. An immediate neighbor has first rights in purchasing property. NOTE about Kedushas Eretz Yisrael.
42:00 – Harchavas HaDaas. Three things that give a person harchavas HaDaas – expanded consciousness – the ability to “think big” – dirah naeh, keylim naeh, isha naeh.
48:00 – Nekuda tova – Finding the good point in a neighbor. Reference to Likutey Moharan 282.
50:00 – Q&R – A person can understand their spiritual boundaries through emunas chokhomim.
55:00 – Closing blessings about striving to expand one’s consciousness every day.
