00:00 – PARAGRAPH 9. – The Chanukah lights expresses faith in hashgacha – that “the Eyes of HaShem observe us constantly. HaShem’s supervision is not dependent on the “laws of nature”.
03:00 – PARAGRAPH 10. The Chanukah lights are kindled at a height below 10 tefachim [approx. 32 inches].
08:00 – Free will. The “further away” we are from HaShem, the more difficult it is for a person to connect the diversity of After Creation with the unity of Before Creation.

22:20 – PARAGRAPH 12. The Chanukah lights are kindled in the Reshus HaYachid – private domain – realm of kedusha within the home. However the Chanukah lights must radiate to the Reshus HaRabim – public domain – realm of impurity – outside the home.

Darkness is an aspect of After Creation, when it’s necessary to have emunah in order to remember the light of HaShem. אַךְ־חֹ֥שֶׁךְ יְשׁוּפֵ֑נִי וְ֜לַ֗יְלָה א֣וֹר בַּֽעֲדֵֽנִי – “…’Darkness will darken me, and the night will be as light about me'” (Tehillim 139:12). For HaShem, the night is as bright as day.
