Sheluchin 3 – Parshas Shelach – Meraglim were Messengers – Hashgacha – Eretz Yisrael – Perfection of the Eyes – Beis HaMikdash – Miracles Reveal Emes – Separation of Upper Waters from Lower Waters – Creation of Sheker – Holy Tears Bring the Geulah – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Sheluchin 3 is based on Likutey Moharan 51 – “Mayim Mayim” and is also based on Likutey Moharan 4.
00 – PARAGRAPH 15. Parshas Shelach.
00 – The Malakh MaTaT represents the Laws of Nature. The messenger should be one with the sender. Elokim is begematria HaTeva.
45 – By speaking in a negative way about Eretz Yisrael, the meraglim were not one with the sender. A person who lies cannot be one with HaShem. This sheker caused Am Yisrael to cry, as in וַיִּבְכּ֥וּ הָעָ֖ם בַּלַּ֥יְלָה הַהֽוּא – “… and the people wept on that night” (Bamidbar 14:1, Shelach).
15 – The Beis HaMikdash is an aspect of Perfection of the Eyes, because it joins After Creation with Before Creation through the Ehven Shesiya. Through the korbonos in Beis HaMikdash sins are forgiven.
20 – Emes – Perfection of the Eyes – makes teshuvah possible.
30 – 10 ongoing miracles took place in the Beis HaMikdash. Miracles reveal emes and hashgacha.
45 – PARAGRAPH 16. Tisha B’Av. “I will establish this crying for generations.” In order to rebuild the Beis HaMikdash, Am Yisrael needs to pray with tears. In order to do teshuvah, a person needs to shed tears over their misdeeds. Every one of these Holy Tears is seen and counted by HaShem and brings the geulah sheleyma.
00 – בִּבְכִ֣י יָבֹ֗אוּ וּֽבְתַחֲנוּנִים֘ אֽוֹבִילֵם֒ אֽוֹלִיכֵם֙ אֶל־נַ֣חֲלֵי מַ֔יִם – “With weeping will they come, and with supplications will I lead them, along brooks of water will I make them go…” (Yirmiyahu 31:8).
00 – Sheker is the origin of tears of complaint.
50 – Secret of the Separation Between the Upper Waters and the Lower Waters: on the Second Day of Creation, the Lower Waters wept about being separated from the upper realms of HaShem.
30 – Tears of complaint damage the vision and weaken a person’s perception of HaShem’s hashgacha.
15 – Teardrops of HaShem create earthquakes. Reference to Likutey Moharan 250.
00 – HaShem created the potential for sheker by separating the Upper Waters from the Lower Waters. Anything closer to its origin is closer to the oneness of Before Creation. When the Lower Waters were separated and cried, sheker and tears were created simultaneously.
00 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 13: When light of HaShem reaches us, it brings us back into the Eyes of HaShem – hashgacha – and our perception of His Presence is increased.
00 – Even though current events seem chaotic, nothing is out of HaShem’s control.
00 – בְּמִסְתָּרִ֥ים תִּבְכֶּֽה־נַפְשִׁ֖י מִפְּנֵ֣י גֵוָ֑ה – “…in secret my soul will weep because of your pride…” (Yirmiyahu 13:17) HaShem is crying about the pride of Am Yisrael that has been given over to the 70 Nations.
00 – NOTE – True accounts of hashgacha in the current situation of Jews taken hostage in Gaza.
50 – Q&R about tears.
20 – PARAGRAPH 17.***Holy Tears: crying with regret for sins and yearning to connect with HaShem heals the damage done by tears of empty complaint. Reference to Likutey Moharan 250.
50 – Bechiah deKedusha – Holy Tears heal and draw HaShem’s hashgacha upon us.
20 – NOTE: During the events of Purim, וַיִּזְעַ֛ק זְעָקָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה וּמָרָֽה – “[Mordekhai] cried a loud and bitter cry” (Esther 4:1). Mordekhai HaTzaddik’s “loud and bitter cry” brought HaShem’s rescue.
10 – Closing blessings.
