LH7-18-Sheluchin/ הלכות שלוחין

2025-10-22 – LH7 – CM1 – Sheluchin 5 – Para. 36b-37 – Parshas Ki Sisa – Who Is the Tzaddik Today?

Sheluchin 5 – Ki Sisa – Fast Days – Searching for the TzaddikTefilah of Moshe Rabbeinu – 13 Attributes of Kindness – Who Is the Tzaddik Today? Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Sheluchin 5 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 8.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 36b.
04:20 – וּבָא לְצִיּוֹן גּוֹאֵל וּלְשָׁבֵי פֶשַׁע בְּיַעֲקֹב – “And a redeemer shall come to Zion, and to those who repent of transgression in Yaakov…” (Yeshaya 59:20).
05:20 – Ruach HaKodesh is drawn to the world through the Tzaddik.
10:25 – The soul of a living thing is in its name. Sometimes the Tzaddik is recognized and publicized, and sometimes he causes his name to be hidden. He does this in order to achieve an aspect of Kiddush HaShem. Sometimes when the Tzaddik suffers insult, it prevents bloodshed in Klal Yisrael.
13:10 – Summary of the halakha: searching for the Tzaddik and attaching oneself to him may cause a person a loss of prestige, but if a person is willing to endure this shame and embarrassment, this enable him to come close to him.
16:36 – “It is impossible to come close to the Tzaddik Emes without mesiras nefesh, and one of the main forms of mesiras nefesh is enduring lack of respect.”
17:45 – יֵשׁ בּוֹטֶה כְּמַדְקְרוֹת חָרֶב – “There is one who speaks like the jabs of a sword…” (Mishlei 12:18).
20:22 – NOTE: Who is the Tzaddik Emes today? A person cannot perceive the Tzaddik Emes today unless he is willing to endure mesiras nefesh.
23:50 – NOTE on Parshas Bereishis. “Bereishis Bara Elokim” – sofei teivos אמת – emes – truth. The way to the emes is humility.
27:55 – PARAGRAPH 37. Hilkhos Onaah – the prohibition of deceiving a friend or giving bad advice in a business transaction.
29:10 – Rebbe Nachman opposed smoking, even though during his time it was considered beneficial for digestion.
34:06 – ***HaShem always knows when a person’s being fake. An important aspect of respecting Hilkhos Onaah is not deceiving oneself. Tricking someone else in business is actually tricking oneself. The dishonest one will be repaid by HaShem.
36:17 – Business transactions are based on drawing the light of the Tzaddik. Kinyan Sudar.
38:24 – וְזֹאת לְפָנִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל עַל־הַגְּאֻלָּה וְעַל־הַתְּמוּרָה לְקַיֵּם כָּל־דָּבָר שָׁלַף אִישׁ נַעֲלוֹ וְנָתַן לְרֵעֵהוּ – “And this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning redemption and exchange, to confirm anything, one would remove his shoe and give [it] to his fellow” (Megillas Rus 4:7).
42:35 – Closing blessings.
