NACH 54 – Daniel – Lesson 6 – Siyum – Daniel’s Final Vision – The Arrival of Moshiach – Solar and Lunar Calendar – Moshe Rabbeinu and Rebbe Nachman

Daniel – Daniel’s Final Vision – The Arrival of Moshiach – Solar and Lunar Calendar – Moshe Rabbeinu and Rebbe Nachman – Speaker: Rabbi Zvi Aryeh Rosenfeld ז”ל.
38 – “Those who come to a Siyum receive the credit for having learned the entire writing.” – Rabbi Rosenfeld
44 – The closing chapter of Sefer Daniel deals with the exile after the destruction of the first Beis HaMikdash and predictions about the history of Am Yisrael and the arrival of Moshiach. Daniel saw the Malach Gavriel while the three prophets of his time, Chaggai, Zachariah, and Malachi, did not see the malach. There are levels of prophecy, and of all the prophets, Moshe Rabbeinu was the only one who spoke with Hashem “face-to-face”. The malach Gavriel explained that the reason Daniel could see him was because Daniel had fasted six days a week, from Shabbos to Shabbos, for 21 years (some say he fasted 21 days).
33 – The Malach Gavriel reveals the future of Am Yisrael.
36 – Alexander the Great was the first person to physically orbit the globe. (Tosefos on Avoda Zara 41a).
24 – Description of the Greek King Antiochus and the destruction of Yerushalayim by King Titus.
31 – The Malach Gavriel does not describe the exile after the destruction of the Second Beis HaMikdash, but instead describes the arrival of Moshiach.
*12:35 – There will be two Moshiachs, Moshiach ben Yosef (from Rochel Imenu) and Moshiach ben Dovid (from Leah Imenu). The Moshiach ben Yosef might be killed in battle by the evil leader, General Armilus.
12 – As brought in the Zohar HaKodesh and stressed by the Arizal : it is possible to save the life of the Moshiach ben Yosef through the suffering of Tzaddikim throughout the generations. It’s possible to have this kavana – intention – during the eighth request in Shemoneh Esrei: השיבה שופטינו – “return our judges”.
19 – The name of Moshiach is Menachem. There will be a period of time between the arrival of Moshiach and techiyas hameysim – the resurrection of the dead – when all souls, good and evil will be judged
00 – It is a serious mistake to try to calculate the exact time of Moshiach’s arrival because it could lead to loss of faith.
45 – Hashem’s world will last 6000 years. These years are divided into three periods: 1) the 2000 years when there was no Torah on earth; 2) the 2000 years of Torah; and 3) the final 2000 years are called the “time of Moshiach“.
51 – Analysis of the numerical predictions about the arrival of Moshiach, based on the Tikkunei HaZohar.
24 – The nineteen-year cycle of the moon with relation to the sun, the Torah’s intercalation of lunar and solar calendar. Yaakov Avinu’s face is hinted in the appearance of the moon.
43 – “That Your way should be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.” – לָדַעַת בָּאָרֶץ דַּרְכֶּךָ בְּכָל־גּוֹיִם יְשׁוּעָתֶךָ – (Tehillim 67:3).
30 – The significance of the birth of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov in the year 5532.
01 – Introduction to the next set of Shiurim: Shevachey HaRan and Sichos HaRan.
28 – Closing point of Sefer Daniel makes it impossible to calculate the Ketz – end of time – beginning of timeless era.
27 – “The primary requirement to merit seeing Moshiach is faith.”
31 – It’s customary, in making a Siyum, to connect the last words of the Sefer with its first words.
35 – One of the purposes of Moshiach is Kibbutz Galios – in-gathering of the exiles.
*33:01 – The letters of the Alef Beis contain secrets. The connection between Moshe Rabbeinu and Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.
00 – The purposes of the Beis HaMikdash: Korbonos – sacrifices – and the implementation of Halakha – Torah Law – to establish peace between all Jews and thereby establish peace for all mankind.
*38:37 – How every Jew can help bring Moshiach.
