Parshas Shekalim – The Half-Shekel Tribute. Connection with the tzaddik through charity is an aspect of the yearly half-shekel contribution for maintenance of the Mishkan. This mandatory donation for the welfare of the community teaches that a Jewish soul is only complete when it connects with another Jewish soul.
