Shevat – Likutey Halakhos – Parshas Shekalim – Part 1

On the Shabbos preceding (or coinciding with) Rosh Chodesh Adar we read Parshas Shekalim (Shemos/Exodus 30:11-16). This reading commemorates the half-shekel donated by each Jew during the month of Adar to support the public offerings in the Beis Hamikdash (Holy Temple). Likutey Halakhos, Tzitzis 7, Para. 8. Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
